I live and work in Redondo Beach, CA. Redondo is one of the Beach Cities, along with Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. The Beach Cities are part of the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. I am a California native, and I lived in New York for several years.

My initial goals in the ODP were to earn the permissions necessary to edit the localities of the South Bay, Los Angeles County and Los Angeles Metro, and from there, the state. As it turns out, even that was not enough to satisfy. Despite state-level privileges, there were huge chunks of the state I could not access, i.e. those categories that "live" in Topical. Happily, my goal of editall/catmv has been achieved: I am able to truly cover California, be less of a burden to other editors, and, importantly, better support the good work of other editors.

My current goal is to learn the nuances of each English-language branch while continuing to help improve California and helping other editors with their initiatives.
